 | The Modem Device should be set to /dev/ttys0 for COM1, /dev/ttys1 for COM2, etc. XON/XOFF sets the flow control to hardware (always a good idea to have a hardware modem under linux). Most 56K or 33.6 modems are designed to work at a modem to computer speed of 115200. By using an init string incorporating the W2 parameter, you can force the modem to report line connection speed. |
